Homebrew NPC: Corrupted SaplingSubmitted by Kim J on Aug 12, 2019. Last updated: Sep 7, 2019
Corrupted Saplings are useful to swarm and overwhelm PCs. Most of the time, the Sapling's attacks will not do much damage after armor. They are there more to eat up actions and tie up the PCs while bigger threats deal damage.
Small Beast, 10 XP
Tendril Whip: Melee. 1d4+2 damage.
Genesis: Passive. When a Corrupted Sapling dies, if another living Corrupted Sapling is Adjacent to it, the dead Corrupted Sapling will come back to life with full HP at the end of the PCs’ next turn. Corrupted Saplings that die from Fire or Corrosive damage are not able to benefit from Genesis. PCs receive only 2 XP for killing Corrupted Saplings that are revived via Genesis.
